The Lagotto is a medium sized dog of rustic appearance. They have a dense curly coat that does not shed but does require occasional grooming. They are energetic, affectionate dogs that are easily trained. They love to take long walks, play ball and many love to swim. Overall they are very agreeable dogs who love to please their owners
The Video discusses epilepsy and hip dysplasia as common health concerns. We test for multiple health issues including the two mentioned in the video. With testing and selective breeding practices we can minimize and in some cases eliminate these health concerns. We practice the testing standards of the AKC as well as additional testing to assure we are doing everything we can to have the healthiest dogs possible. We learned about the Lagotto Romagolo while watching an episode of DOGS 101 RARE BREEDS. We visited with some local owner’s and fell in love. We knew they would be the perfect fit for our family. Once we found our girl Freckles we decided the world needs more Lagotto to love.
